Hoe herken je de keurmerken?

Milieuvriendelijke kantoorartikelen kan je gemakkelijk herkennen door middel van verschillende kenmerken. Wij hebben een aantal belangrijke kenmerken van milieuvriendelijke kantoorartikelen voor je op een rijtje gezet.

Europese Bloem
Europees ecolabel voor non-foodproducten en diensten, van schoonmaakmiddelen tot kopieerpapier tot toeristische accommodaties. De criteria hebben betrekking op de hele levenscyclus van een product of dienst.

Blaue Engel
De Duitse variant van het Nederlandse Milieukeur. Het label geldt als één van de meest degelijke en vergaande milieukeurmerken.

Nordic Ecolabel
Het officiële milieukeurmerk in Scandinavië en IJsland, ook wel Nordic Swan genoemd. De criteria hebben betrekking op de hele levenscyclus van een product of dienst.

Milieukeur
Nederlands keurmerk voor onder meer voedingsmiddelen, papier, verf, meubelen, brandblussers en aanbieders van ecostroom.

FSC
Forest Stewardship Council is een internationale organisatie die een duurzaam en verantwoord beheer van de bossen stimuleert. Je komt het label tegen op hout en houtproducten, zoals meubels, vloeren en papier.

PEFC
Programme for the Endorsement of Forest Certification schemes. Keurmerk voor verantwoord geproduceerde hout- en of papierproducten.

Paper by Nature
Dit keurmerk garandeert een minimale impact op het milieu van de papierproducerende en papierverwerkende industrie.

Cradle to Cradle (C2C)
Afval is voedsel, zon is de energiebron en respect voor diversiteit, dat zijn de drie basisprincipes van Cradle to Cradle.

CO2-neutraal
Wanneer er bij de productie geen broeikasgassen vrijkomen of wanneer de broeikasgassen volledig gecompenseerd worden, mag een product betiteld worden als ‘klimaatneutraal geproduceerd’.

Kringloop
Dit logo wordt gebruikt voor producten die gemaakt zijn van gerecyclede materialen.

Fairtrade
Het Fairtrade keurmerk garandeert dat dit product (koffie, chocolade, koekjes) tegen een eerlijke prijs en onder internationale Fairtrade-handelsvoorwaarden is ingekocht bij boerenorganisaties in ontwikkelingslanden.

Inzameling lege cartridges

De situatie in Nederland: een verbruik van bijna X miljoen cartridges per jaar, waarvan er meer dan 80% eindigen in de prullenmand, samen met het overige industriële of huishoudelijke afval! Dat is een behoorlijk probleem, want cartridges zijn sterk vervuilend, omdat ze bepaalde metalen en chemische stoffen bevatten. Alle onderdelen kunnen echter gerecycled worden.

Internationale organisatie Recoll geeft gebruikte cartridges een tweede leven, waardoor er goede en goedkopere alternatieven geboden kunnen worden. Onder de naam WECARE4Collecting zamelde het bedrijf jarenlang lege cartridges in. De overname door het Franse Armor stond garant voor een sterk vergrote slagkracht en internationalisering en bracht de naamsverandering naar Recoll met zich mee.
